ID.me Support and Live Verification Sessions Limited Due to Hurricanes
ID.me sent the Tech Center the following notice about the Florida hurricanes' impacts on the availability of live video ID verification sessions for our students:
-----------
We want to inform you of the expected impact of Hurricane Milton on ID.me operations. One of our offices is located in Tampa, FL, and the impact of the storm has temporarily limited our Member Support staff in that location.
As a result, wait times for Trusted Referee interactions and responses to Member Support tickets are longer than usual.
ID.me is working to mitigate the impact of these disasters to the best of our ability. This includes taking appropriate staffing measures to alleviate the strain on our Florida team. We will also activate user experience measures where Members using Trusted Referee will have the option to be contacted when they are ready to complete their verification process, instead of waiting in the queue in real time.
It should be noted that the Unsupervised user experience is not impacted.
