Notice: ID.me verification deployment
Dear Colleagues,
We are in the final stretch of preparations for the ID.me verification deployment. ID.me support has informed us that IT teams should consider whitelisting their CNAME to ensure that students can be redirected to ID.me's website without any interruption. This might be something worth sharing with your K12 partners at your local school districts so that students can participate in enrollment labs without any issues. Even though minor students will bypass the ID.me integration screens, high school students who are 18 or older will be asked to verify.
ID.me utilizes a dynamic WFA with a constantly rotating pool of IP addresses. Sharing specific IPs wouldn't be effective long-term. Therefore, we recommend whitelisting their CNAME "api.id.me" instead. This ensures consistent access for users while respecting K12's filtering policies.
Please reach out to our staff support at staffsupportccctc@openccc.zendesk.com if you have any questions.
Thank you,
